Glissandi (in green) was chosen to be a part of the Art in the Metroplex Grand Finale show at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. The opening reception will be on October 6, from 6 - 9 p.m. There will also be a closing reception on October 21, from 7 - 9 p.m., featuring a talk by juror Judy Tedford Deaton, Chief Curator and Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Grace Museum in Abilene. The evening will also include a prize ceremony. I'm looking forward to both events.
After twelve years of being very happy to use Princeton Art and Brush's 6150 round in size 10/0, I have discovered they don't make it any more. I especially picked this one for its small size and its handling of fluid acrylic paint. I tried quite a few different brushes before choosing this one and I'm not looking forward to going through that process again!
I stilll have a small collection of brushes left over from the time I spent trying them out. This small collection includes a couple that I tried and really liked only to discover they, too, had been discontinued.
Thankfully, I have enough brushes left to finish my current series.
