Yellow: What's next?

I'm working on the final painting in the Glissandi series.  It is yellow and some shades are so pale I have to use an led flashlight to see what I'm doing.  Pictured is a version done on a full 22 x 30 inch sheet of watercolor paper.  It is available for sale for $300.  I have two smaller versions available as well.

After this, I'm looking forward to beginning studies for a couple of new series.

However there are some things that must intervene between now and those studies and I can't say I'm looking forward to them:  finding a new brush to work with;  organizing my studio, again; and getting the house painted.

Getting the interior of our house painted is a big one.  On the one hand, I'm glad we're getting it done as it's long overdue.  Rolled into that project will be a few other much needed improvements.   I'm confident I'll be pleased with the results.

On the other hand, we've got 20 years of clutter that will have to be moved out of the way.  It'll be kind of like moving, actually, without going anywhere.  I absolutely hate moving so I don't expect it to be fun and I'd rather be painting anyway.  However, in moving the clutter, I have a plan to get rid of much of it and I know I'll be glad when it's done.

Then there is my need to find a new brush.  The one I've been happily using for several years has been discontinued.

I have a small stack of different ones to try out.  It will probably be one of these.

In the meantime, I'm thankful that I'm all ready for the holidays!
